Pamper yourself at Sante’ Wellness Center

Roatan Island is one of Honduras hottest tourism spots. The sun, the beach, the coral reef, these aren’t the only things drawing more and more tourists to Roatan. The many tropical spas on the Island attract those who want a healthy vacation that could improve their overall wellness.

One such tropical spa is Sante’ Wellness Center. Here a wide variety of treatments are available and performed by licensed health professionals.  One of Sante’ most sought after treatments is Acupunture.  Treatments may be followed by full body massages such as a swedish massage or an aromatherapy massage, wraps (including chocolate and noni wraps), reflexology or facials. Eat Out at Playa Taty's in La Ceiba

If there is one restaurant you have to try while visiting La Ceiba it is Playa Taty’s. It has been open for going on two years now, and is open 7 days a week for dinner (not for lunch).

Playa Taty’s has everything going on that you would expect from a beach restaurant: bright colors, a palm leaf roof, a little patio thing overlooking the beach. The atmosphere is quite relaxing, which puts you in the perfect mindset to enjoy some good food!

In a country where service isn’t exactly priority on anyone’s list, Playa Taty’s does it right. I have never heard complaints of the wait or kitchen staff, which is a great sign! (Many speak English and Spanish, Read more

Dancing and Drinks at Bamboo Club in Tegucigalpa

Dancing and Drinks at Bamboo Club in Tegucigalpa

For a night of partying in Tegucigalpa, Lonely Planet claims that Bamboo is the city’s most exclusive night club, and while I may not agree completely with that, it is a pretty happenin’ night scene.

At Bamboo party goers dress to impress and dance the night away on the large sunken dance floor. The crowd is a mix of locals and foreigners, with everyone just looking to have a good time. The music is great, but not a ton of variety, so if you don’t like regueton, this might not be the place for you.

Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Pedro Sula

Staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel San Pedro Sula affords more than just a night of comfort. The hotel has king size and double rooms and a presidential suite for you to enjoy a quiet evening, but if you are looking for more, why not head down to the Crowne Plaza Casino.

The Casino is a great place to mingle with those staying at the hotel and others. I have met quite a number of other wandering gringos with interesting stories to tell while playing the machines. There is also a restaurant, lounge and bar where you can relax and get a drink or a meal before heading to gamble.

A Tree House for the Big Kids

Treetanic is one of the coolest bars in all of Honduras. Located in Utila, at the Jade Seahorse Inn RESTAURANT, this elevated wooden deck sits under the shade of a large mango tree. Built to resemble an old ship, Treetanic is the ultimate tree fort for grown-ups.

The dcor is insane; the tables are made out of marbles, everything is done in bright colors, and even the bathrooms are a piece of artwork!. At the main bar you can mix and mingle while enjoying the music or you can escape down to one of the sub-levels for an intimate moment with your date. Although there is always a breeze, things can get pretty hot, so dress accordingly.
