Starting December 18th, 2008 Delta is now offering daily non-stop service between Atlanta and Honduras’ capital city of Tegucigalpa.
Christophe Didier, Delta’s vice-president of Sales and Government Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean is quoted saying, “We’ve been looking forward to flying into Tegucigalpa for a long time,
and the brand new 737–700 aircraft makes it possible, completing the long list of Central American destinations Delta serves. Our Flights to San Pedro Sula and Roatan have consistently performed well, and we are immensely optimistic to see Tegucigalpa become a great addition to our Honduras service.”
Delta has always been a popular choice for those flying into Honduras, and will certainly grow in popularity now with direct service from Atlanta into the capital city. With its brand new Boeing 737–700 aircraft Delta will be able to handle Tegucigalpa’s short runways, extreme temperatures and high altitudes.
Has anyone had a chance to take the new flight into Tegucigalpa?
