Dive on Roatan at Anthony Key's

I recently got a recommendation from a friend for a really great place to stay and dive on Roatan: Anthony Key’s Resort. Although is a little more expensive than average, with rooms starting at US $120 a night, it is worth the price if you are looking for a quality, hiccup free diving vacation. One of his favorite things about Anthony’s was the fact that the whole place is relaxed and quiet, and the staff has a tendency to blend into the scenery, making it a peaceful spot to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Anthony Key’s provides individual lockers on the dock for divers to store their own AnthonyKeysequipment, assigned a specific dive boat and a dive master, ensuring that you don’t dive the same site twice.

They also have a medical clinic with good, clean services in case of emergency.

Extras include copies of filmed dives on DVDs, diving with 3 resident dolphins, diving with over 20 sharks, and snorkeling with 16 dolphins.

You can choose between the cheaper rooms with no AC and the AC rooms that are closer to the pool. My friend ops for the rooms with AC because they are more bug free than the others.

Anthony Key’s is not only a great place to stay and dive, it also has a fun entertainment, BBQ dinners and picnic plans.

Anthony Key’s is located on the Northwest shore of Roatan Island, close to the West-End. For more information visit the Anthony Key’s web-site by clicking here.
