When is the best time to visit Honduras? Most would say February thru June, hands down, but that answer can get a little more specific, depending on what you plan to do and exactly where you plan to visit.
If you plan on studying Spanish, try coming from September to May; schools are less crowded during this time than the standard summer months.
For those who are traveling to the North Coast and the Bay Islands area it might be best to come during the winter months, or rainy season. Why? Well, during the spring and summer humidity and temperatures are high, and rain comes pretty much without warning year round.
If you are visiting Tela or La Ceiba along the coast during October to January be prepared for heavy rainfall. The Western Highlands are pleasant year round, as temperatures are much more moderate, although an afternoon shower is standard.
